In Case You Missed Anything from the Busy Weekend

jeff samardzija gatorade showerI know that some folks check out from the Chicago Cubs and Bleacher Nation on Friday afternoon – seeing friends, spending time with family, and other ridiculousness – so here’s a quick catch-up for those who missed what proved to be a fairly busy weekend:

No sympathy for Yankees who are paying 85 smackers for 2 yrs as he will be a Pujols lookalike after then

if yanks have to pay A-rod and sign Cano
it could put them out of the Tanaka stakes?
Because they still need to sign 2 starters to
    complete their rotation.

I think they are very confident that ARod will get suspended for the whole 211 says and will only sign Cano if his price comes down significantly. Right now Tanaka is the holdup up for all teams until he’s posted none of the big names are going sign.

I agree about Aroid. After that temper tantrum he thru at his hearing it’s almost guaranteed he will not play for quite a while.(if ever again)

My guess is that we’ll never see him play in the Majors again. That was a pretty epic meltdown and I would think neither party (ARoid, MLB) have an interest in being near each other at this point.
