cubs ticketsJust a reminder to folks who want to try and grab some of the more competitive tickets on the year for the Chicago Cubs: single game tickets go on sale this morning at 10am. You can get them at or by calling 800-THE-CUBS.

You can see more on the Cubs’ promotional schedule this year here, which could help you make some game decisions. You can see the full schedule here.

The weekend tickets tend to go a little faster, and I expect Opening Day, the Yankees series, and the Wrigley 100th Anniversary Game (April 23) will also be the faster-moving tickets, for those trying to make plans.

Or you can go to the Cubs Tickets section of the Bleacher Nation Message Board and buy tickets from your fellow BNers for less money. Season Ticket Holders pay slightly less face value and no processing fees. Just sayin.

Cool beans. Did not know that.

Buy them in August, they’ll be practically free by then.

Once 10:00 A.M. hit there was a Virtual waiting room. The last few years getting tix was fast but there was always at least a 10 minute wait in the VWR.

Yes I know I could have saved money going other routes but wanted the Friday and Saturday games for the St. Louis Series in July. Also added the 2 games vs. SD just before that game. So 4 straight games in July. Will be fun.

      I meant there wasn’t a VWR once 10:00 A.M. hit.

So I saw this went and jumped into the waiting room next thing you know I’m buying tickets to the Cubs v. Yankees. WHAT!!!

I’m not sure any games will sell out today…definitely a long way from the wristband system and a line around the stadium.

Hopefully the great lakes will be thawed out by then
