If you hang a figurative meatball to Anthony Rizzo, odds are, he’s going to figuratively mash it.

But what happens if you hang a literal meatball to Anthony Rizzo?

Well, the answer is: he entertains us.

The meatballs didn’t stand a chance.

Did you catch the part where Rizzo tasted his bat? If he could please do that the next time he hits a homer, I think we’d all appreciate it.

Showed a nice opposite field stroke on the last one.

  • CubFan Paul

That red sauce can’t be good for those cars.

  • Darth Ivy

Good thing the pitcher wasn’t a lefty…..I kid, I kid. I did notice that he went the other way at least once. Good to see he’s making that next step in his development

  • Funn Dave

He’s nine for nine! Told ya he could hit for contact!

Really, though, these videos continue to show why MLB should have nothing to do with MTV, ever. Keep the Jackass out of my national pastime, please.

  • CubChymyst

    That is great

  • ssckelley

With a speed limit of only 15 mph those meatballs coming off Rizzo’s bat should be ticketed.

  • Jim

Maybe its the good Italian boy in me, but, boy, thats a waste of meatballs.

    • Jon

Those don’t look like good meatballs.

Three kinds of meat in the meatballs. Veal, beef, and pork. You got to have pork. That’s the flavor.

      • CubFan Paul

        Regular ground pork or sausage?

I do just beef, seasonings, different cheeses, and sometimes bacon.

        • Jon

Don’t put too many onions in the sauce

          • rick42

Nice goodfellas reference I dont think anyone else caught it

            • jp3

C’mon Pauley everyone got the reference and it was a good one. Make sure you use a razor to shave the garlic really thin

Jon you would find a way to say something negative about this

    • kgd

Don’t worry, they picked those meatballs up at Ikea.

  • DarthHater

Anthony, don’t you know it’s sinful to waste food like that when there are starving children in Africa?

  • Big Daddy

Now I’m craving a meatball sub.

  • miggy80

This reminds me of 93.3 X-fest 2000. It poured on all of the campers for about 30 hrs. When the sun came out someone had a baseball bat and someone started pitching food that was water logged. Before you knew it everyone was out there chucking their food around.
