The Cubs couldn’t quite do much against Julio Teheran, but, hey, that’s true of most teams this year. Mike Olt (!) had another nice game, so that’s cool. Jason Hammel appears to have also been effective, so that’s neat.

But the Cubs lost, which is markedly less cool.

Mike ‘Jolt’ Olt. A quick burst of energy…;)

We gotta play this guy every day for a month. Let’s see what he can do, even vs righties.

  • Javier Bryant

Hammel keeps pitching well and it was kind of ironic that Olt went 1-2 with a home run, strikeout and a walk.

Why was that ironic in relation to Hammel pitching well or ironic at all?

      • Javier Bryant

I didn’t mean ironic, my bad. It’s just that it seems to be that Olt either homers, walks, or strikes out.

    Got it!

The most impressive thing about the Olt HR is Teheran was making every other cubs hitter look foolish. No one had much of a chance with the stuff he had last night. But Olt worked that count and sent one into orbit.
