Enhanced Box Score: Cubs 5, Brewers 11 – May 30, 2014

Enhanced Box Scores

The first inning was just about all you needed to see in this one: the Cubs were dominated by Marco Estrada quickly, and then Travis Wood gave up five runs in the bottom half of the inning slowly. It was an ugly frame, and the Brewers added six more from there.

Nate Schierholtz hit his second homer of the week, so maybe he’s finally heating up. Jose Veras pitched a couple scoreless frames, showing that he’s the best low-leverage pitcher in the world (hopefully his confidence is rising).
