Some Kyle Schwarber Video and Praise for a “Slump”

Cubs Minor Leagues and Prospects

Would you believe me if I told you that Kyle Schwarber hasn’t homered in eight games?

I know. It’s shocking. Quite a deep slump for the Chicago Cubs’ top pick in the 2014 draft.

Of course, in those eight games, he’s gone 9-31 with 4 doubles, 4 walks, 1 HBP, and 8 strikeouts. He’s got a .290/.389/.419 line over those eight games, so I’m mostly kidding when I say he’s been in a deep slump. If that’s Schwarber slumping, we’ll all take that.

Overall, in his 17 Midwest League Games, Schwarber is hitting .377/.472/.705 with 4 homers, 8 doubles, 9 walks, and 13 strikeouts. Dude is still tearing it up.

A couple nights ago, he had a double and a single, and BN’er Jeff was in attendance grabbing some video. Enjoy:
