Quantcast

dusty sleeping blogathonI am currently blogging – here, on Facebook, and on Twitter (hash tag #BNBlogathon for those who want to jump into the fray themselves) – for 37 hours straight, until slightly past MLB’s July 31 non-waiver Trade Deadline, thanks to your generous donations (more than $15,000) to Make-A-Wish. I’ll be doing recaps on the process throughout the day, but you’ll also see normal posting (Bullets, news, Pre-Gamin’, EBS), as well as a significant uptick in rumor/trade posts.

Another (successful?) live stream is in the books, and I hope you enjoyed as much as I did. You can re-watch if you missed it live. Next one comes at 2am CT.

I am currently enjoying watching the Cubs game. Well, even though they’re losing. No #hugs yet, though.

News and Rumors Since the Last Recap:

Nothing huge new (or hugely new), but the Bonifacio rumors persist and expand. It sounds like everyone accepts that he’s heading out, but there are more sources saying “but it’s not this team” than sources saying “it is this team.”

Most Interesting Tidbit Since the Last Recap:

It was the live stream, yes? Some technically difficulties mucked things up at the beginning, but it was a lot of fun from there.

Current Thoughts About the Chicago Cubs’ Trade Deadline Strategy/Execution:

For now, I’m OK with the Cubs waiting on Bonifacio to maximize the return (in theory). You never know what’s going on behind the scenes. And, among the Cubs’ rentals, Bonifacio probably has the most value.

Current Beverage/Stimulant of Choice:

Started rocking the energy drink. Which tastes like badness.

Number of Failed Attempts to Re-Collar Our Feistiest Cat:

3. Yeah, taking a break on these attempts.

Hat Status:

Backwards. Like a boss.

Strangest Thought Passing Through My Mind:

A question during the live stream has me wondering: what am I going to eat overnight? And how much is too much? What time is best?

Your Visual Update:

I really do. It relaxes me. And then immediately un-relaxes me.
