But, at the same time, in an otherwise lost season, these kinds of things do get magnified on the days Jackson is pitching.

The Cubs go for the series win today in Los Angeles. They’ll do it without a familiar face in the lineup: Starlin Castro gets his first day off, with Chris Valaika subbing.
