I don’t have an official calendar handy, but I’m fairly certain that, mid-day yesterday, all official calendars spontaneously sprouted a new holiday on August 5, 2014: Javy Baez Day.

One of the best prospects in baseball will make his debut at second base for the Chicago Cubs tonight, and, because baseball is supposed to be fun, we’re going to have some fun with it.

Starting at 6:30pm CT, I’ll be doing a live stream there below, and you can toss out your thoughts/comments/questions/celebratory gestures in the comments or on Twitter. Although I’m sure I’ll dance and drone on for a while, these streams are designed to be interactive, so I hope you participate. We’ll go for 30 to 45 minutes or so, or until I’m so partied out I can’t continue (have to save a little for the game, right?).
