Tennessee Smokies Unveil New Logos, Uniforms, and Colors – Pretty Much Crush It

Cubs Minor Leagues and Prospects

We have our resolution of the Tennessee Smokies mystery from earlier in the week, and, as many of you correctly guess, it involves a new logo. And then some.

I am no designer, but I have 32 years experience using eyes, and I think the Smokies absolutely crushed their re-design.

The changes are subtle, but for the better. The colors and logos now hew a little more closely to their parent organization, the Chicago Cubs, but retain a distinctly Tennessee Smokies style. That’s no easy to do, but they pulled it off with aplomb.

They also managed to maintain the distinctly Minor League “feel,” which I mean in a good way. There’s something peculiarly fun about Minor League Baseball, and you can see it all over those new logos.
