Storms are threatening the Cubs and Pirates in Pittsburgh tonight, but, if they’re able to play, it’ll be Jake Arrieta and A.J. Burnett squaring off in the first of this four-game set. Sure, it’s only April, but the games played now count just as much as the ones in September. And, if the Cubs and Pirates are indeed going to be involved in the playoff hunt, then every time they play is a big game.

Burnett’s been quite good since returning to the Pirates – just as he was before departing a couple years ago – so hopefully the Cubs can get to him. It would also be great if Arrieta can go six or seven strong and spell the pen a bit.
