In his first plate appearance tonight, Kris Bryant showcased more of his signature opposite field power with a deep drive to right-center field. It was his second loooong double of the series, as he once again just missed a home run in the spacious alleys of PNC Park:
In many other parks, we’re celebrating his first home run. I’m not even sure he hit that ball all that hard – kind of inside-outed it about 380 feet.
Bryant’s season line is now a ridiculous .467/.600/.667 with a .541 wOBA and a .256 wRC+ over his first 20 plate appearances. Dude just refuses to OPS under 1.000. I’d tell you it’s early and not to expect too much, but, what the hell, just enjoy it.
