Yesterday, we talked about Dan Vogelbach’s crazy hot start to the season at AA Tennessee, which netted him Southern League Player of the Week honors. Despite the heat, though, Vogelbach had yet to hit a homer this year.

He didn’t wait long to amend that:

Even if it’s been dormant for a little while, the power is quite real.

The homer was Vogelbach’s only hit on the night, though he once again didn’t strike out. His line stands at .457/.548/.657, with a 16.7% walk rate and a 7.1% strikeout rate.

It’s been just 42 plate appearances so far, but they’ve been just about as good as 42 plate appearances can go.
