Anthony Rizzo had been in something of a mini-slump – as slumpy as a guy as awesome as Rizzo gets, anyway – but he broke out in a big way last night, notching a three-run double and the game-winning three-run homer in the 9th.

I’m really not sure how that double didn’t leave the park for a grand slam. That outfield wall in left at Chase is really weird. Two feet to the right or five feet to the left and that’s gone.

Rizzo took the homer to the pool area to ensure there was no chance it didn’t leave the park.

Rizzo’s back up to .322/.444/.586 on the season.
