Enhanced Box Score: Nationals 7, Cubs 5 – June 5, 2015

Enhanced Box Scores

Although it hadn’t yet bitten the Cubs, we’ve previously talked about how difficult it can be for a pitcher to face a team in back-to-back starts or two starts out of three. That definitely proved to be the case for Tsuyoshi Wada, who was not fooling the Nationals this time around. He was knocked out early, and hopefully it’s just going to be one of those things, and not necessarily predictive of anything going forward.

As for the Cubs, it was nice to see that they battled back and made a game out of what could have been a blowout, but Anthony Rizzo’s two homers weren’t enough, and a two-out rally in the 9th came up short.
