addison russell cubs batNo, I wouldn’t take it as a sign of anything big. But it’s notable.

Starlin Castro is getting the day off today, and taking his place at shortstop – again, for today – is Addison Russell, who slides over from second base:

  1. Dexter Fowler, CF
  2. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
  3. Kris Bryant, 3B
  4. Miguel Montero, C
  5. Junior Lake, RF
  6. Chris Coghlan, LF
  7. Jonathan Herrera, 2B
  8. Jason Hammel, P
  9. Addison Russell, SS

Hopefully Castro gets a day to rest, Russell plays well at short in his absence, and Jonathan Herrera gets a couple hits.
