Javier Baez Hits Massive Homer Off of Light Tower (VIDEO)

Starting at third base for the fourth straight game, Javier Baez had another big day for the Iowa Cubs, capped off by this monster shot to left:

That thing hit the light tower in left, despite Baez taking a much more controlled swing – that’s how much power he has.

With that homer, Baez improved his Iowa slash line to .314/.387/.540, with his strikeout rate hovering in the 25% range. While I don’t think we’ll see him back with the Cubs in the next few days, I suspect he could be up very soon thereafter.
