Chicago Cubs 2016 NL Central Championship Gear

wrigley outfieldWell, I wrote up the Pre-Gamin’ before the game was called due to serious rain and scary weather threats (stay safe), so I’ll keep it for whenever the game comes. It won’t be a doubleheader tomorrow, though. So that means the Royals and the Indians will have to come back to Wrigley Field for a single game. Kind of a pain for them. (UPDATE: Monday, August 24.)

In any case, enjoy your evening, and go Blackhawks.

The now-defunct Pre-Gamin’ follows.

Happy Jake Arrieta Day!

With the Cubs’ bullpen used heavily again yesterday – even at a bloated nine relievers right now – it’s incumbent upon Arrieta to go deep. If he could also dominate, that would be swell.

The Cubs face Trevor Bauer, who himself has dominating upside, but sometimes he gets wild and gets hit. He’s likely to strike a lot of Cubs out today, but hopefully they can remain patient and take the walks he offers.
