wrigley outfieldThe Cubs lost an annoying one in the opener of this series, and the good news is that they’ve got Jon Lester going in game two. The less good news is that Cubs pitchers were nearly perfect yesterday, and it didn’t matter because the bats weren’t able to plate a run against a young pitcher who was all over the place. Flukey double plays, excellent defense, and a terrible strike zone played a part, sure … but today those bats face Chris Sale.

The Wife is taking this one in with me in the right field bleachers, so maybe we’ll see some of you fine folks out there.
