The Cubs went down early tonight to the Pirates, but Kyle Schwarber and Anthony Rizzo brought them back in a big way in the top of the sixth.
First, Kyle Schwarber went deep to center, just barely getting the ball over Andrew McCutchen’s outstretched glove (so close that Schwarber, at first, thought he may have been out). It was a total hanger that looked like a pop-up. But Schwarber is stroooong:
Anthony Rizzo followed up a couple batters later with the tying shot. This baby was an absolute monster. It wasn’t even that bad of a pitch, but, like Schwarber, Rizzo is stroooong.
The atmosphere tonight is playoff-like, my friends.
