wrigley outfield warning trackA bit of a scary situation after yesterday’s game abated when the Chicago Cubs and Chicago police determined that a bomb threat at Wrigley Field was not credible.

Just after the Cubs finished sweeping the Giants, everyone remaining in the ballpark was ushered out as law enforcement officials investigated the threat. Thereafter, the Cubs released a statement:

Following our game this afternoon, we received a bomb threat and took swift action to clear the few remaining fans, players, staff and media from the ballpark.
