Did Anthony Rizzo Just Make the Catch of the Year? (VIDEO)

Chicago Cubs News

Seriously: holy crap, Anthony Rizzo.

The fact that he had the ability to get up on the tarp while tracking the ball, and then time his fall into the stands to coincide with the ball reaching his outstretched mitt … crazy impressive. Not sure this is the kind of thing I’d advise trying on the regular, but it sure is fun to watch:

Mercy. The fan reactions around Rizzo pretty much mirror that of anyone who was watching. Just closer and more intense.

And the short, loopy versions:

Umpires initially ruled that Rizzo was out of play and there was no catch, but that was overturned on review.

I can’t stop watching it.

Catch of the year? It’s up there, right?
