Chicago Cubs 2016 NL Central Championship Gear

wrigley outfieldAll right, Dan Haren. I know you have good starts left in you. They couldn’t have all been used up by the Marlins earlier this year. With the Cubs having lost five of six, tonight’s the night to bust out your best.

Hopefully the bats come out in force to support Haren, though many of them have really struggled with Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani this year.

Javier Baez is in the house, and starting at second base. Austin Jackson is also in the house, and available off of the bench (as is speedster Quintin Berry). Starlin Castro and Tommy La Stella, among many others, are also available off of the bench. It’s here: the Cubs actually have quality bench depth for the first time all year! All it took was roster expansion!
