The Cubs’ bats played it a little more low-key today, scoring only twice – a bases loaded grounder by David Ross, and a solo homer by Dexter Fowler – but the defense was fantastic, making play after play out there.

That’s really all the team needed to win, because, once again, Jake Arrieta was just stupid good.
