Chicago Cubs 2016 NL Central Championship Gear

great american ballparkThe Cubs head out on their final road trip of the year, starting in Cincinnati. Were the Cubs a little closer in the division or if they hadn’t yet clinched a playoff spot, we’d probably be pretty excited about a Reds-Brewers close to the season for the Cubs. As it stands, well, hey: just win a lot of games, and that’ll probably be its own cool thing.

Dan Haren is arguably fighting for a spot on the playoff roster if it goes further than the Wild Card Game. I’m not sure he’ll be able to lock down a spot either way at this point, but would two dominant outings to finish the year change any minds? For me, probably not. But we’ll see.
