Chicago Cubs 2016 NL Central Championship Gear

citi field metsHere we go. The NLCS. The Chicago Cubs are in it. There is a game of that series happening tonight. It’s real. It’s transcendent.

But, in some ways, it’s just a series between two very good teams. We know that the Cubs can win. We know that the Mets can win.

Hopefully, it’s a great ride, and the Cubs come out on top.

It starts tonight with Jon Lester facing Matt Harvey, each of whom has the ability to dominate the bats on the other side.

The Cubs go with a pretty typical (of recent weeks, anyway) lineup against a righty in a Jon Lester start, and hopefully the top seven bats in the lineup can do some damage early against Harvey, or at least get his pitch count up.

The Mets go with Michael Cuddyer at first base against the lefty Lester, sitting lefties Lucas Duda and Michael Conforto. Those are a couple big bats to have available late off of the bench.
