When the Chicago Cubs picked up Dan Haren to be their new fifth starter for the stretch run in 2015, most thought he was probably nearing the end of his career. Haren later confirmed that suspicion, and then ultimately retired after the Cubs’ playoff run was at a close.

And now we all benefit from that decision, as Haren is revealing quite a bit about his playing days on Twitter:

(Haren had famously threatened to retire if the Dodgers traded him – which they later did, to the Marlins.)
