You can only imagine a pitcher’s horror in observing, and then trying to pitch through this Chicago Cubs lineup.

The guy finally gets down into the bottom of the order, and he’s facing the “weak” spot in the 8-hole … but there is no weak spot. Because that guy is Miguel Montero, who is still a great hitter.

And Montero did this:

That’s the Cubs’ first homer on the season, and if you didn’t have Montero as the guy who would do it, I won’t blame you – but that’s not a knock on Montero. He’ll hit quite a few this year. The Cubs will as a whole.
