Walk-Off Fun: Ian Happ and Eloy Jimenez Walk Off the Pelicans and Cubs (VIDEOS)

Cubs Minor Leagues and Prospects

The big league team wasn’t the only one having a lot of late-inning fun yesterday. Both the South Bend Cubs (the Cubs’ Low-A affiliate) and Myrtle Beach Pelicans (High-A) came back late and walked off with wins.

In South Bend, the Cubs got the win on this Eloy Jimenez blast:

That was a no-doubter, way back on the berm. Jimenez is a beast, physically, and if/when the raw power starts playing in games, he’s immediately going to become one of the best offensive prospects in the Cubs’ system. He might be already.

Speaking of top offensive prospects, the Pelicans got their win on a deep Ian Happ double:
