Kris Bryant Did It Again: Another Day, Another Rocket Shot Homer (VIDEO)

Chicago Cubs News

Last night, Kris Bryant hit his first homer of the year, despite the wind and the cold, by blasting a rocket line drive straight out to left.

Tonight, Kris Bryant did very much the same thing, albeit more toward left center this time around. The young man is a beast, and he shipped out another ball from the Bryzzo Souvenir Company:

That’s a 106mph line drive homer, very much unlike what Bryant’s home runs looked like last year. Bryant said that he worked on his swing plane a bit this offseason, looking to make it a little more line-drive/contact-oriented, which would cut down on whiffs. The question, of course, was whether his power would be negatively impacted – after all, a guy like him can send a lot of majestic homers out if he just gets them high enough in the air.

So far, it’s been so good on the power front, especially when you consider that a more lofty shot to that same direction, on a night like tonight, probably hangs up and does not leave the park.
