Luke mentioned Bijan Rademacher’s crazy hot start to the 2016 season earlier today, and it looks like that was a well-timed mention:

Rademacher, who came in at number 21 on the BN Top 40 Cubs prospect list before the season, has absolutely killed it in the early going this year.
He is in his second go-around at AA Tennessee after a very successful season there in 2015, when he hit .261/.379/.370 (119 wRC+) and walked more than he struck out. My guess is the repeat here at the start of the year has more to do with the Cubs sorting out their outfield situation at AAA (in part as it relates to the big league roster) than it does with Rademacher’s readiness for the challenge of AAA.
Still, he could stand to work on his power game a bit, especially if he’s going to stay in a corner outfield spot, and here in the early going, it’s obviously been huge for him. Also, some small sample fun? He currently sports a 24.2% walk rate and a 6.1% strikeout rate.
Rademacher should see some time at AAA before the season is up, and although he’s already 24, it’s worth noting that he committed full-time to being a position player only a few years ago.
