Cubs Lineup: Yes, There’s A Game Today – Javy Baez Plays Third, Kris Bryant to Left

Chicago Cubs News

happy cubs old logoThe lineup for tonight’s game against the Reds is out, and I kind of had to catch my breath before typing this up. You get so caught up in the whirlwind of a game like last night’s, and it’s hard to refocus and get back into the swing of another day, another game.

I can’t imagine what it’s like when you’re one of the players involved in a game like that.

Here’s the crew that’ll face Jon Moscot:

  1. Dexter Fowler, CF
  2. Jason Heyward, RF
  3. Kris Bryant, LF
  4. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
  5. Ben Zobrist, 2B
  6. Javier Baez, 3B
  7. Addison Russell, SS
  8. David Ross, C
  9. Jon Lester, P

Javier Baez draws another start, this time at third base, with Kris Bryant sliding out to left field. Everyone else is a regular, with David Ross getting another start with Jon Lester on the hill.

The group probably won’t repeat its 16-run explosion from last night, but that’s only because they’re going to make it 20! And Jon Lester won’t just throw a no-hitter, he’ll throw a NEGATIVE-hitter! I don’t even know what that is! Oh God, I’m getting all excited again because of last night!!!
