Chicago Cubs Lineup: More Of The Same

Chicago Cubs News

The Cubs were rained out yesterday, but they’ll give it another go today. Jake Arrieta still takes the ball, and he is still opposed by righty Taylor Jungmann.

Let’s see if today’s Cubs lineup will have what it takes.

Chicago Cubs Lineup v. Brewers (Taylor Jungmann):

  1. Dexter Fowler, CF
  2. Jason Heyward, RF
  3. Kris Bryant, LF
  4. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
  5. Ben Zobrist, 2B
  6. Tommy La Stella, 3B
  7. Addison Russell, SS
  8. David Ross, C
  9. Jake Arrieta, P

The lineup is also the same as yesterday’s (pre-rainout), with David Ross taking the place of injured catcher Miguel Montero (sore back). Montero is available off the bench, though, and we’ll have more on who his replacement will be if he needs more time off later today.

La Stella draws the start at third base, although I remain intrigued as to why his start in this series came against Jungmann (who is split neutral for his career), as opposed to Jimmy Nelson (splits strongly favor using lefties) who started on Tuesday.

Thursday morning manager.
