Are you up futzing with your server setup like I am?

No?

Ah, but you’re up! Whatever it is that you’re doing.

And it’s because I am up futzing with my server setup (trying to rectify the scheduling posts problem I mentioned this morning), I needed to schedule a post in short order. Which is not to say that this post is not a real post, nor is it entirely a test. But it’s, like, 45% a test post.

Since you’re here anyway, why not enjoy Willson Contreras’s opposite field blast from Friday’s game – the Cubs won that one! – which was just an impressive bit of barreling a ball on the outer third, and driving it deep with authority:

That’s a good pitch. It’s down and away, and it’s 93 mph. I guess it was a little straight, but, given the location and velocity, you’re usually going to be happy with the result of that pitch. But Contreras has impressive plate coverage, and he sends that one 385 feet at 101.0 mph the opposite way.

Contreras, who has a hit in all seven games in which he has a plate appearance, is now hitting a nice even .400/.500/.900 in 24 plate appearances. In fact, although he walked twice today and doubled, that actually brought his overall production down slightly (wRC+ dropped from 274 to 266 (lulz)).

Hope you enjoyed. Thanks for assisting with my not-totally-a-test-but-kind-of-a-test.
