The 2016 Home Run Derby is Here

MLB News and Rumors

No, there are no Chicago Cubs in this year’s edition of the Home Run Derby, but, in some ways, that actually makes it easier to just kick back and enjoy the spectacle. Annually a silly but fun event, the Home Run Derby features a mix of power vets and relative new-comers. And Giancarlo Stanton is in there this year, so it’s pretty much guaranteed to have some ridiculous shots.

The Derby will be on ESPN at 7pm CT, and here’s your bracket:

Give me Trumbo and Stanton on the left, Duvall and Frazier on the right. Then Stanton, Frazier in the finale, with Stanton delighting everyone by winning it with an 800-foot, 135mph destroyer.

Consider this your open thread for the Derby. Enjoy!
