Enhanced Box Score: Cubs 5, Padres 1 – August 22, 2016

Enhanced Box Scores

Too much good!

Kris Bryant homered (again!). Addison Russell homered (again!). Jason Heyward homered (it’s true!). Anthony Rizzo had four hits (take that, Kris Bryant as Cubs batting average leader!). Jon Lester dominated (as he does!). The bullpen was nasty (as they are!).

The Cubs walked five times in the game, while striking out just twice. Conversely, Cubs pitchers notched 14(!) strikeouts against just 2 walks. Incredible.

I suppose if you were nit-picking, you might point to the 1-10 with runners in scoring position … but, even then, the Padres were 0-11!

So many exclamation points!
