Here is an extremely funny video of Cubs pitcher Rob Zastryzny’s teammates trying to pronounce and spell his name:
Naturally, Kyle Hendricks seems to have the least trouble with the name.
Zastryzny, the 24-year-old lefty who was the Cubs’ second round pick in 2013, really seemed to turn a corner midway through 2016 at AAA, and is looking great so far in the Cubs’ pen. Through 8.1 big league innings, he’s allowed just 1 earned run on 3 walks and 7 hits, while striking out 11.
We’ll see how things go down the stretch, but there’s a chance he could wind up in the bullpen for the playoffs. And then everyone will know his name.
