If you aren’t a season ticket holder and didn’t participate in the MasterCard pre-sale this week, then I wish you good fortune today in securing Chicago Cubs tickets for the 2017 season.
The public sale for individual game tickets begins today at 10am CT at Cubs.com. You can probably expect to be in the virtual waiting room for a while (which opens up at 9:30am CT if you want to start waiting in advance), and then you can definitely expect very limited ticket availability for the most premium games (think home opener, interleague games, summer weekends, Cardinals, etc.).
For me, I’m going to see what I can pull off when the window opens up. Given the demand for tickets, I anticipate there will be an aggressively robust secondary ticket market this season, though, so you’ll always be able to get tickets to whatever game you want. It just might cost more than face value. C’est la vie for being a fan of a World Series champion.
Good luck, my friends.
