Today plays out very much like it might in the regular season, with the only changes from yesterday’s lineup being Miguel Montero in to catch Jake Arrieta, Matt Szczur in at DH, and Albert Almora tagging into center field.

Speaking of Szczur, he’s been out for about a week, so it’s good to see him getting back into action. He and Tommy La Stella may be battling for the final bench spot, each is totally a worthwhile big league bench player at a minimum, each has dealt with a spring health issue (I’m only guessing on Szczur, based on his time away), and each has a reason that not making the 25-man roster could cause a problem (Szczur is out of options, and would probably be lost on waivers; La Stella has options, but may not play at Iowa).

And, as usual, we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ closer to game time (3:05 CT).
