The Chicago Cubs are heading to Wrigley Field North (Miller Park) to take on the Milwaukee Brewers in their home stadium tonight.

And it’ll be the last series for the Cubs, before finally returning back to Wrigley Field as the reigning World Series Champions for the first time, actually, ever (Wrigley Field wasn’t built until 1914).

Brett Anderson makes his Chicago Cubs debut tonight, while looking to continue his ground ball tendencies. And if he does, he should be well protected by an infield filled with spectacular defenders (Kris Bryant, Addison Russell, Javy Baez, and Anthony Rizzo). It’s pretty strange that Rizzo is the only one of the bunch with a Gold Glove, though, isn’t it?

But otherwise, yes, you read that correctly. Javy Baez draws another start at second base, and I get the feeling that it’ll quickly become common enough not to warrant any special attention. In fact, that goes double for when Anderson (ground balls) or Jon Lester (the running game) is on the mound.

Opposing Anderson tonight for the Brewers is right-hander Jimmy Nelson. Nelson is the last remaining Brewer who has yet to draw a start, and comes into tonight’s game with a pretty significant lefty/righty split.

In 237.2 career IP, righties have earned just a .306 wOBA against Anderson. Lefties, on the other hand, have earned a .353 wOBA with a notably stronger slugging percentage (.452 SLG v. .367 SLG). The Cubs do have five lefties in the lineup (if you count Anderson), so they should be well-equipped to handle him at the dish … at least, on paper.
