BOOM: Kris Bryant Crushes His First Homer of the Year 451 Feet Off the Video Board!

Before the game, it was hard not to look at those whipping flags in the outfield and wonder if we were in store for some fireworks.

It didn’t take long for the Cubs to find out, as Kyle Schwarber doubled to lead off the game, and then Kris Bryant exploded his first homer of the year:


Up off the video board! Such a beautiful sight, and something Bryant’s done several times before.

Not that Bryant needed the wind, because this baby was going out no matter what:

Youngster Tyler Glasnow was the recipient of that rude greeting, and he might be in store for more today. Let’s see …


MINI UPDATE: Before that first inning was over, the Cubs had singled (Heyward), doubled (Schwarber), tripled (Russell), and homered (Bryant), and plated four runs.
