Enhanced Box Score: Cubs 4, Giants 1 – May 23, 2017

Enhanced Box Scores

Despite a one hour rain delay to open the game, things wrapped up nearly at the same time you would have expected for an on-time start.

That’s thanks to Jon Lester, who was absolutely dominant all night long for the Cubs, cruising through the Giants’ lineup like he was facing … well … the Giants’ lineup. Offensively, the Cubs got their runs courtesy of a monster Kyle Schwarber shot, a rocket Jason Heyward shot, and a two-run Anthony Rizzo shot. That’s the nice thing about home runs on a night when the offense wasn’t actually doing a whole lot otherwise.
