WATCH: Dexter Fowler Returns to Wrigley Field, Gets His Ring

Chicago Cubs News

In his two years with the Chicago Cubs, Dexter Fowler contributed in significant – often dramatic – ways to the team’s most successful seasons in a long time.

I’ll always remember three moments that perfectly outline his time with the team, from the beginning, to the middle, to the end: his 9th inning home run in Colorado to give the Cubs a comeback win at the start of 2015, his shocking return to the team in Spring Training before the 2016 season, and his leadoff home run in Game Seven of the 2016 World Series.

Fowler earned his World Series ring as much as any Cubs player, so it was great to see him get his ring yesterday at Wrigley Field, regardless of the uniform he was wearing at the time.

Here’s some video of the moment if you weren’t able to watch (670 The Score, @Cubs):

Welcome back, indeed:

Good on you, Dex. Maybe today and tomorrow don’t do the leadoff home run thing again, though.
