I have only half joked about it to this point, but let me say there is no joke: the Orioles’ pitching staff is so very much what the Cubs’ offense needed.
With Jose Quintana on the mound making his Cubs debut, after a number of years getting criminally low run support from the White Sox, he’s getting a boatload already today.
The Cubs have jumped out to a 6-0 lead already, capped by this two run homer from Kris Bryant:

The homer was Bryant’s 19th of the year, and raised his slash line to .275/.402/.534 with a 143 wRC+.
