Kris Bryant Reminds Us He’s Not Just a Big Bat With a Great Diving Play (VIDEO)

Chicago Cubs News

While the rest of the team (including Jon Freaking Lester) is off crushing dingers like it’s Christmas dinner (wait, I’m not sure that’s a thing), the Cubs best and biggest slugger, Kris Bryant, is showing off his skills in the field.

Indeed, with one out in the top of the third inning, Bryant made the following diving stop and strong throw to nab the runner, Adam Rosales, at first by just inches.

Take a look:

For those of us that watch Bryant on a daily basis, we already knew Bryant was an above average defender at third base, but being reminded by a flashy play like this every now and again never hurts either.

He may never win a Gold Glove out there, but his defense is a certainly valuable part of his game. He’s more than just a big bat, and every now and then, he reminds us.
