Hey, that’s another win for the Cubs, and that means they’ve already locked up this series against the Pirates. Tomorrow, they can go for the sweep.

It took a little over five innings for the Cubs to get the scoring going – I guess Chad was just a little too Kuhl for the Cubs – but Ben Zobrist got things going with a solo blast, and the rest of the crew added a few insurance runs.

Anthony Rizzo had a three hit night to stay blazing hot. Jason Heyward and Ben Zobrist each had a couple hits.

The lone blight on the Cubs for the night was Koji Uehara giving up a solo homer to real life Pirate John Jaso.

The star of the game was probably a steady and workmanlike Jake Arrieta, who was once again just freaking solid. His second half run this year doesn’t match what he did in 2015 (literally no pitcher in history has), but he’s been among the best pitchers in baseball in the second half. Incredible.

The highlight of the game didn’t come from Arrieta, though. And it actually involved the Cubs hitting into an out in center field. How is that possible? This is how:
