BOOM! Kris Bryant Becomes the First Cub to Hit 25 Homers in His First Three Seasons (VIDEO)

Chicago Cubs Highlights

Although he went through something of a power slump after a pinkie injury earlier this year, Kris Bryant’s power wasn’t gone for long, and certainly not long enough to prevent him from making a little Cubs history.

For the second straight night, a Cubs hitter set a franchise record blast. Tonight, it was Bryant with his 25th homer, making him the first Cub to homer in his first three seasons:

That was an 0-2 oopsie by old friend Jason Motte, and Bryant took advantage. As Michael noted in the Series Preview earlier today, Bryant has been on fire of late, and he has his line up to .294/.410/.539 with a 147 wRC+.
