Tonight is #CubsSocial Media night, which means you can find Brett, Luis, and I around Wrigley before the game and in the right-field bleachers during.
It also means fun, social-media-inspired lineups:

I can’t believe that after all my hemming and hawing about Kyle Schwarber’s absence from the starting lineup, I don’t even care that he’s back in it, but it’s true.
And that’s because Willson Contreras is also back in the Cubs’ lineup, starting behind the plate. Woo! Before you get too excited, though, remember that it’s entirely possible he’ll just be in there for about 4-5 innings, before being removed for one of the other catchers (especially given how many are on the roster right now).
The Cubs suggested they’d take this first week slowly, and even hinted that their plan is to make it look/feel like another rehab stint. If that’s the case, so be it. I’m just glad to have him back and his long term health remains a priority. In any case, Contreras returns to a second-half slash line of: .308/.376/.692 (170 wRC+). Maybe he’ll be the spark this offense needs.
As usual, we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ closer to game time (7:05 CT). See you there!
