Is Javy Baez Baseball’s “Funnest” Player?

Cubs Humor

Over the past couple weeks, Joe Posnanski (critically-acclaimed baseball writer) and Michael Schur (dude who made ‘Parks and Rec’ and started at ‘Fire Joe Morgan’) endeavored to determine baseball’s “funnest” player. It is a light-hearted (and fun, naturally) look at the things that fans think about when it comes to “funnest” players.

They used the highly scientific “Twitter poll bracket” method, which netted an arguably perfect Final Four:

  • Adrian Beltre
  • Francisco Lindor
  • Bartolo Colon
  • Javy Baez

The polling had Lindor beating Beltre, Baez beating Colon, and then Baez taking it all in the end, because let’s be honest:

Would you rank Javy Baez as the “funnest” player in baseball? We get to see it on a daily basis, with his incredible plays, magic slides, mousetrap-speed swing, and jovial dugout demeanor. So maybe we’re biased.
