Pre-Wild-Card-Gamin’: Twins at Yankees (7:00 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Chicago Cubs News

The 2017 postseason is officially here!

Although the Chicago Cubs and the rest of the National League haven’t quite fired things up yet, the American League Wild Card Game is tonight, and it’s a fairly solid matchup between two teams (the Yankees and Twins) who were underdogs at the start of the season.

Unlike the NL Wild Card game tomorrow night at this time, however, the Cubs don’t have as much of a rooting interest in this one. And like last year, if it comes to the point where we are thinking of AL teams analytically/in terms of match-ups, I think we’ll all just be happy that the Cubs are where they are, you know, again. So just try to enjoy this one for the baseball of it.

In the meantime, feel free to game thread it up down there in the comments tonight, if you’re watching the game. Perhaps it can distract you from the fact that the Cubs still have two and half more days without any baseball.
